"The Turing Point" My Osaka Crew Bootcamp experience was truly life transforming. I feel like a totally different person now, I can't stop smiling. It reminds me of the scene from "Boiler Room" Where Ben Aflack is telling the the new recruits, "I'm a fucking millionaire, they say money can't buy you happiness, well look at the smile on my face. Ear to ear, baby." Well here I am tell you guys who haven't taken a boot camp yet, "I'm a fucking Pick-Up Artist, just look at the smile on my face. Ear to ear, baby!," At first I was terrified walking into the TGI's last Friday evening. I didn't know what to expect. I had read the game, watched the Mystery Method DVD set, Watched the Pick-up Artist on VH1 but I had never seen a PUA in real life and I was nervous as all hell. The funny thing is that even though I had read all this stuff and watched all these DVDs I had never applied a single thing. I had so many limiting beliefs that preventing me from making this change, taking the chance, ponying up my 90,000 yen and just taking the plunge. Heres what my limiting beliefs were going into the bootcamp: 1. I can learn this shit on my own. So I bought books, DVD's read articles. I did every thing but try to open set and actually pick-up a girl. 2. You can't Nanpa in Japan. It's cultural taboo. 3. My Japanese isn't good enough. I had only been studying Japanese for two months, so anything over the most basic conversation was simply over my head. 4. I am too fat/not good looking enough. I need to lose the weight before I can get girls. 5. I need to drink alcohol to have enough courage to talk to girls. Well thanks to RedpoleQ, Allusion, and Kidd44 those limiting beliefs were blown out of the water. The Osaka Crew is awesome, a wealth of knowledge and experience. They are really supportive, you could tell that they really wanted each of us to have success with women we wanted. Yes, they pushed us hard but we need to be pushed. The bootcamp was worth every penny and when you consider, I like I did, of taking a bootcamp in America your looking at spending $2,000 with Real Social Dynamics or close to $3,000 with the Mystery Method the TOC bootcamp is a real steal. So here goes a summery of what I remember. Day 1: Night game in Roppongi I was terrified, I knew they took us to Starbucks for a reason. They are going to make us open sets and I am nervous as hell. I see RedpoleQ, he is heading back upstairs with coffee in hand. He opens a cute Starbucks employee looks like she like she might be heading to the bathroom or something, He lock in against the wall immediately. Now she giggling and laughing, now hes got one hand on her back and he sliding in closer to her. See seem very keen on him. I turn to Takuma and say "so thats how its done." A light goes off in my head and now I am excited. After a few hours of seminar we head to the club. I am terrified, I open the first set with Takoyaki, but I don't get off I it, just keep trying to talk to them about Takoyaki they don't seem all that interested, and I run out of things to say so I eject. Allusion tell me to get back in there pull out your routine stack and just keep plowing, eventually I blown out. The first half dozen set kind go the same way. It's a rough start I keep running out of things to say, Kino was uncomfortable and set just didn't seem to hook, but then Allusion says to me "seem like your the kind of person that's ready to have their reality blown." So he tells me he going to push me harder but it going to be tough. I get blow out of a few more sets and then I open a 2 set buying drinks, I lock with my back to the bar and AI Rockstar into the set. The target seem keen, she let me kino her back. I was talking about her smile when she says to me "my smiles is not free," I ask her to explain because in my head I thinking is she saying she's a hooker? Shortly after they leave and I truck on to the next set. Towards the end of the night RedpoleQ and Allusion has us one by one going into this 5 set all girls. I spin my target and take her seat. Then I make her sit down on my lap. She seem keen, but before I get too far into the sarge her friends get up to leave. Overall a fun night, I was so pumped going into the Debrief. I realized that night that you can't substitute knowledge for experience when it comes to Sarging. I also had the time of my life and I didn't have a drop of alcohol, towards the end of that first night opening sets became no big deal. Day 2: Day game in Roppongi Hills Again, I am nervous as all hell. Completely out of state, but I know this time that after a few sets I will be fine. To tell the truth I was kinda sceptical about day game. My cousin keeps telling how bad it is. I mean it's one thing to nanpa in the club, but at a shopping mall now that's taboo. I expecting to get yelled at get water thrown in my face. Well once again my self limiting belief was completely wrong. RedpoleQ showed me that day game isn't much different than night game at all. All these women want is some to come along and take them out of their boring existence for awhile, and that's exactly what we did. This is the day I sarged the infamous Mother-daughter 2 set at the Starbucks. Thanks Sniper for running interference on mom. Now that I look back on the set I really think the daughter was really keen despite the language barrier. I really spike her BT when I tesed her about still having her hair in braids at age 28. Also thanks to Allusion for heads up on having me use the mom to qualify the daughter, it was brilliant. Later on the came into to wing a two set with Azn_Stallion. I'm getting good kino with my girl and she seem keen. I am in the middle of qualifying her when they have to leave they are going to see a movie. So of course being the rookies that we are we let them go. Then Allusion asks us what happend. We explain and he sends us back in to time bridge number close. At this point the girls are a good 20 meters away so we run after them. I knew I didn't have much time so I told my target that I really thought seen was interesting and I really wanted to see her again. I successfully time bridged and number closed her. My first one of the bootcamp. At this point I realized that all my self limiting beliefs about my appearance were completely blown out of the water. I didn't have time to really convey my personality or build much attraction with this girl, but none the less I was able to successfully number close her with a direct approach. Day 2: Night game Ageha Once again I'm nervous out of state I just hoping that I not the first one to open a set. No such luck, RedpoleQ has me open a two set in the hall way by the bar. I get blow out almost immediately, Oh well. He then has me open a 2 set of gayaru girls, both HB8's, sitting at a table in the bar area. I sit next to my target and start to kino her while I talk to her friend. She says something about going to Germany next week, I say great and then immediately AI Renaissance into the set as a European. The sarge is going well we bounce the girls to eating area to have some food. Then bounce them to the pool area too look at the view. I give my target my jacket as we cuddle for warmth under the heater. The set is going extremely well so I decide to start running strawberry fields, but before I can begin Renaissance's' girl started talking to me and my target. I told him to grab her and kino her some more. I fished strawberry fields and it wen really well. At this point I should have kiss closed her, but being the rookie I am I didn't go for it. A huge mistake because soon after they went to the bathroom, they said they would be right back. As Renaissance and I were debating whether to wait or go, he open a two set for foreign girls. I immediately opened the blond in the set, jokingly push her toward the pool, then pulling her back. I tried to get her to move a few feet so I could lock in with my back on the railing but she wouldn't go I was pretty forceful about it but she insisted that she wanted to dance. I could clearly see that her BT was spiked, but before we could get to far into the sarge Renaissance's girl's boyfriend came back. I made him eject to avoid any potential problems. At this point the nerves are gone, I'm in state. Back at the eating area Allusion has me come in and wing a set for Rockstar, she wants a drink so we go to the bar together, I tell her I don't drink she's surprised but impressed. I think many Japanese people have this misconception that Gaijin over drink and become loud an obnoxious so when you don't drink it becomes a major DHV. I continue the sarge but I am not really keen on her so I try to dump her off on Curiosity at the bar. I have to say having Curiosity at the bootcamp was awesome in addition to being a really cool guy, it feels good to actually meeting someone who was recently been in our position. I then go and meet my cousin (a nihonjin) and his friend HB7. I introduce them to Allusion and after a few quick pointers on how to use a pivot we go off to do some more sarging. While we are walking around we bump into a HB9 that I was sarging earlier in the night. I had some good attraction with her earlier, I introduced her to my pivot and I think she got jealous and stop paying any attention to the guys she was with and started talking to me. Unfortunately her English was limited, she said something about getting a drink so we walked to the bar with my arm around her back. She tried to get me to pay for her drink, when I didn't she got angry. So I just pushed her away and just continued sarging other girls. Fast forward....its getting late, I ditched my pivot and Takuma and I are working the front room with Allusion. Everyone seems to be getting drunker and drunker as the night wore on. Takuma opens a two set, I'm talking to Allusion getting ready to come in and wing, when no sooner than I say "hey she's cute, I want her" then a tall good looking Gaijin starts talking to the other girl. Allusion tells me how to AMOG him and so I go in and tell him he's cool and spin him, then lock in next to my target. Allusion occupies the guy, while I talk to the girl. We hit it off great and soon I'm leaning against the wall with my arms around her whispering in her ear. She ask me to go dance with her but have to leave soon so I time bridge number close her and send her on her way. We leave the club. It was the most fun I ever had. I thinking I getting addict to sarging. Day 3: Day game Shinjuku Once again I'm out of state, I first few set are rough, but once again I get into state and i'm off to the races. Overall a very good day. One set sands out in particular. It was a one set seated at Starbucks, I don't remember the opener but the target didn't speak any English, I mean not at all but she was very Cool, and cute, HB9 all around. I did the entire sarge in Japanese in hind site It's hard to believe considering where my Japanese ability is right now, but some how I pulled it off. She was really keen on me, I was getting a lot of reverse kino from her. 5 minutes into the set her friend came back and so I AI my wing in, it was Renaissance again. I really enjoy sarging with him. I think we work well together. So I am seeding for Krispy creme bounce, and I tell Renaissance this but he says that he just came from there. So I start seeding for Eddie Bower, he ends up setting up the bounce for Christmas lights so as we start to bounce, I older Japanese man tries to sit do in our seats. She says to him "keep" in English trying to tell him in English that she want to keep these chairs. She finally comes to her senses and talks to him in Japanese. Too funny. After a few we come back for some more kino and I qualifying her, I ask her if she can cook she trying so hard to qualify her self to me she says she can cook sweets, like cake and cookies. Obviously, she full of it because most Japanese people don't have ovens. I end up email closing her, and I go for the kiss close with some coaching from RedpoleQ. I can tell she wants to but she says some bullshit about Japaneses people not kissing in public. In hind site I should have just taken her around the corner and kissed her there. I have to give special thanks to RedpoleQ for coaching me through that set. It was funny every time he would come over and give me a coaching tip, she ask whats going on, I just simply told her he's my friend we only have a few more minutes and then I would kino more or do what ever he told me I should do. She had no clue, but she was a lot of fun. I'm glad I got to bring some excitement into her life, even if it was for only a short time. Conclusion: I really feel different since the bootcamp. I cant stop smiling for one. I see the world differently now too, everything is composed of ones and two sets. I feel in touch with the world, I see beautiful girls not as passing flashes of beauty but as potential girlfriends, if the meet my standards. Before I think I would have settled for any half way decent looking girl but now, I realize looks are common place and great personality is rare. I used to think oh "I wish this girl likes me" now I think "I wonder if I will like her." Thanks Allusion, RedpoleQ and Kidd44 for blowing my reality up.
