  1. To all my 'Brothers in Arms'.........where are your field reports!!? Inductor, Angel, JustGo! and Samson......I'm looking forward to seeing things through your eyes. C'mon guys! (The longer you wait the foggier it gets.)
  2. REVEILLE I came to the PUAsia community via a friend’s youtube suggestion: "Watch Derren Brown". Basically, Derren Brown--->NLP---> Ross Jeffries--->Mystery--->The 'GAME'. In the end, needed some/lots 'tweaking' of cocky/funny and googled 'PUA Asia'. Sort of a 6 degrees story, if you will. Met RedpoleQ for the first time when I was returning from Bali via Osaka (to Shizuoka), after I noticed online he was having a 'meet' and greet' at Starbux. Was a bit nervous he was going to be some 'leisure suit Larry' look alike, but was presently surprised. Picked him out immediately, the guy just has a 'presence'. Had a general Q&A, as well as watching him 'game' some of the local talent. Got a chance to meet Gary as well, solid British game. RedpoleQ was cool enough to let me tag along that night to a club, and I was just blown away. He and Allusion worked the room, and the club, in methodical fashion. They isolated two ‘previously occupied’ HB7’s before you could say, “Where’s my Girlfriend?” Anyway, I decided at that point, although I had kind of known at Starbux, to do the boot camp. The deciding factor was when Allusion blew my mind later that morning with some mentalism at the McDonalds. Looking forward to hanging out with him in Tokyo sometime.... A little about me, if I may indulge myself. I’m 30… something (not sure as it changes every year**joke copyright**), 6’5, and not hard on the eyes. Yet I have the remarkable ability to appear invisible to most women. I wish I could claim this was a kick-ass magic trick, but like most men, I assumed women judge men the same way we do…on looks. They do…but they don’t. Confused? So was I. Pouring over all the PUA literature exposed me to the truth—it’s mostly status. Learning how to transmit higher status is why I’m here. For the first night of boot camp we met in Osaka at the ‘Hard Rock,’ where I first met Kidd44. From the Japanzine articles and word of mouth I had been looking forward to meeting him, and I wasn’t disappointed. He definitely has a presence, but that seems to be a commonality amongst all the PUA’s. I also met my fellow boot campers, Justin (aka Mr. Energy), Scott (aka the Joker-stop making me laugh) Andrew (aka Jakethe Musc-sweet as bro), Perry (aka Secret Agent Man-“tell ya but have to kill ya”). Also, Da Vinci and a couple of the former boot campers, Challenger and Awesome. Hard Rock was loud and raucous (20 minutes of birthday song, good grief) but it was there we were initiated into the hallowed halls of ‘Game.’ Each had their own reasons for being there. DUCK AND COVER Our first venue of the evening was ‘Club Pure.’ Trying to choke down the butterflies in my stomach I descended into the lair of my learning. Immediately RedpoleQ transformed into Gunnery Sergeant RPQ “Because I am hard you will not like me. But the more you dislike me the more you will learn. I am hard but I am fair. I WILL motivate you, Private Chase!! Now go, go, go!!!! (Paraphrasing). There were girls everywhere, the hip hop music (if I recall correctly) was bumping, but, honestly, I barely noticed it. I approached more girls that night than I had ever in my life (in one night.) I was familiar with the steps, Opener-->Attraction-->Qualify-->Comfort. I quickly found out that the opener didn’t really matter. But what DID matter was body language, and mine was terrible. I found my collar grabbed from behind on numerous occasions (straighten up soldier!) as I did my best ‘Lurch from Adams Family’ impression. I wish I could break down all the sets for you, but it’s a bit of a blur—just too many. It WAS boot camp and I was ‘in the hurt.’ I vaguely remember at one point taking a flesh wound as Perry took a double barreled shottie to the chest. I discovered JUST how important a job the wing man has. If the obstacle is NOT occupied, they will use each other to sound a retreat. Another observation, it doesn’t REALLY matter what you are talking about, just keep the words coming and the energy high. I was pleasantly surprised just how easy kinoing is……at least that evening. At one point I had a HB9 in a tight form-fitting blue dress nestled up against my crotch when I was told to extract. A tear in remembrance. But it was a skill set and an attitude (of abundance, not scarcity) that I was here to develop. I was surprised how friendly a lot of women I thought ‘unapproachable’ were. It’s all in your head, and I now know if I practice..and practice…and practice, one day the right frame will come naturally. With this experience I also realized that the first few sets of the night are ‘warm ups.” View them as such. I guess I could put this at the end, but one of the major discoveries for me is now being AWARE of proper game, and knowing when I need to calibrate. If nothing else, that lesson alone is invaluable. For example, I was astounded to learn just how submissive my body posture was, even for something as simple as moving through the crowd. Now, I TAKE up space. Anyway, that was Club Pure---afterward we retired for a debriefing where went over the 5 point systems. Next day’s venue was day game at Starbux near the Doutunburi bridge. Justin and I winged together. I was mad nervous as we approached our first 2-set. I crouched down to talk to them, thinking that was better than lurking over them. Mistake. Look comfortable, but not submissive. Because of Justins tenacity, we were able to bounce them for ice-cream. Not bad, considering they were waiting for their boyfriends. Note, ice cream was the ‘spark’……takoyaki wasn’t working. It was a first for me, and exactly what I came to boot camp for. We spent FAR too long (actually walked them to the station) with them, but found that day game has an entirely different pace. Number-closed and returned. Next set (I can remember because we only approached…gulp….two) was a couple girls from Austria. Don’t know why, but found white girls, a bit more challenging. Just a frame, I know, but there it was. Was a little disappointed I had only approached two sets, but vowed to improve the next day. Note, found Kino during the day harder, but during the debriefing discovered it’s ALL about spacing! Stand close and then it doesn’t feel like you’re reaching across the Grand Canyon! IT’S WAR OUT THERE That nights venue was Club Oct. While we were standing in line Perry opened a big breasted HB7. Just the dirty type I like and he was doing really well with her. The transformation, in just one night, of Perry…of all of us, was inspiring. Not that we didn’t, and don’t, have a long way to go…but hey, we all started out on big wheels, right? Um, yea…well, most of us, pretty sure kidd44 was on a black motorcycle with flames painted on the side. Point being, for our male, linear, methodical minds, it’s comforting to know this can be studied, and dare I say, learned. For those of us who aren’t ‘naturals,’ that’s good to know. Anyway, we we’re waiting for the club to open doors when Gunnery Sergeant RPQ ordered me into the fray. Justin and I approached a 2 set, and got the wave/walk away. Gulp. Back into it, next 2 set. Not feeling particularly confident (brain was screaming- everyone is watching, you’re not even IN the club yet, they’re NOT interested, she doesn’t speak English) I gave it a half hearted shot, and then began to panic a bit. Mind went blank. Sweat started to pour. I had hit my wall. G.S. RPQ was all up in my face. “Are you quitting on me? Well, are you? Private Chase, I got your name, I got your ass! You will not laugh, you will not cry, you will learn by the numbers, I will teach you! Now get up! Get on your feet!! NOW! MOVE IT!” (With all apologies and credit to Full Metal Jacket.) As Phil had told me…"He’s going to make you anyway.” And I went back in. Took my routine stack out of my back pocket and proceeded to READ it to her. AMAZINGLY, she smiled and leaned back into me. She even used a tissue to dab at my perspiration. She had been WAITING for me to talk to her again! Realization of the weekend: They are ALL waiting for us to display that we are Alpha males. Anyway, set broke as we waited for each other at the entrance. We entered to a club scene that was radically different then the night before. The club was having a show that evening, some type of modeling event, and there were several VIP areas only a few paces off the dance floor where sets could quickly retreat. The girls that were there were all very pretty, but there just wasn’t that many sets. I talked to a few 10’s, and wasn’t nervous, but most likely because I was displaying ‘safe’ behavior and not really living on my edge. I knew it. But the sense of self-consciousness I had felt earlier was magnifying, as was my ability to rationalize. But, tough times pass, tough people last. I think the venue WAS hard, but you have to play with the hand you’re dealt, and although getting too far ‘in my head’ I did persist through some sets, and towards the end of the night had some success. In a way, I LIKED the fact that it was hard, because that meant I was really growing. As they used to say on my basketball tam, the hotter the fire, the harder the steel. By the end of the night I was rock hard. (Pun intended). The debriefing was therapeutic. I went into it pretty deflated and came out of it energized. One extremely important point---I had noticed some of the younger guys had really made a lot of progress since the night before, working on some of the finer points, whereas I felt like I was back to square one. Then we talked about how the older you are, the more times you’ve run your ‘game’, or lack thereof, and the more habits you have to ‘unlearn’. New Frame. New energy. Reborn. Next day was day game at Umeda Starbux. Scott and I approached quite a few sets, starting of on the third floor of the loft. This being the 4th round, I felt like a lot of the basics were coming more naturally, or at least I was aware of what I should, or should not, be doing. As I’ve already written a book I’ll make a few general observations. First, some of the friendliest girls are the prettiest, but you’ll never know until you approach. Second, I really realized the importance of locking in, basically because I lost so many sets by not doing so! Make the conversation sexual, and remember the steps!! That night Kidd44 took us all out to dinner, where he held court. It was a magnificent moment. The sense of pride I felt, of accomplishment….that’s what happens when you go to YOUR edge. Borrowing from Full Metal Jacket again, “Today, you people are no longer maggots. Today, you are PUA’s. You're part of a brotherhood. From now on until the day you die, wherever you are, every PUA is your brother. Most of you will have girlfriends (multiple). Some of you will get married. But always remember this: PUA’s run solid game. That's what we’re here for. And the game lives forever. And that means YOU live forever. TAPS To be continued…….. Just spent TWO hours (I'm not a fast typist) writing up the next Sat, hand brushed over a key, everything gone!!!!!!!! AAAAArrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!!!
