Bootcamp FR edits 1. When I was told that we weren't going to be drinking on the bootcamp I was sure that meant alcohol. And I found it funny how RedpoleQ kept confiscating my bottles of water. Me: "I'm thirsty man." RedpoleQ: "Your bottles of water are driving me fucking crazy!" I think this was because I was holding the bottle across my chest. RedpoleQ told me that I lost at least one set because of it. The drink ticket opener worked well though. 2. The girl who I sekigaisen closed on Sunday then replied to my mail appears to have had her phone cut off. Initially I though that she might have blocked my email address but when I phoned her (she didn't have my number) it said that the phone was disconnected. Bit odd. 3. After effects of the bootcamp are still here. - projecting my voice better in all social situations. - opening everyone as I walk round my town. - high fiving work colleagues from 20-60 years old. - kinoing everyone (taking small steps to become the touchy feely guy, who's not gay) - smiling more. - noticing HBs in my town

Pre-bootcamp: Reading the previous bootcamp FRs, I am amazed at how detailed some of them have been (e.g. Renaissance, who was approach coaching for us with Don). It would be great to detail all the sets that I was pushed into and winged however many of them have been lost, for the time being, in my bootcamp maelstrom. My introduction to game came in April when I noticed an ad on Facebook for some David DeAngelo products. After mentioning this to a couple of friends, one guy suggested I google "Mystery Method" and another introduced me to JLair. These resources inspired me to open a 2 set in the local Bamiyan restaurant, my friend winged and I sucessfully @ closed and timebridged my target, HBstudent for coffee the following weekend. This led to my first Day 2 since the end of my previous LTR in October 2007. I was totally oblivious to the IOIs HBstudent was giving me on our Day 2 - she came; had obviously made an effort getting ready; was qualifying herself; seeded bouncing herself; and probably a load of others that I'm still to learn about. Basically I had no idea how to progress the sarge. A couple of free mini seminars later, having met RedpoleQ, Kid44, Levo (briefly) and Don amongst a host of other alumni it was time for my own life changing weekend. Friday: When I arrived at TGI Friday's, RedpoleQ was already there with one of my wings NewLight. Soon after we were joined by Full Disclosure (a fellow student), Kid44, Don and Renaissance. Listening to RedpoleQ talk, I started to wonder if he was hypnotising us. My mood started to change from one of fear, to one of expectation and excitement. Knowing that we would be opening our first set in TGI Friday's, I was glad that RedpoleQ asked me to go first just so I could get that very first set under my belt. One of the things I loved so much about the bootcamp was how it hardly ever felt like we were being asked to do too much. So, first set, just open and eject. And I did it! At the moment I have very little recollection of the rest of the night. On our way to Muse some bootcamp alumni (Takuma, Kissmark and Rockstar) joined us with some other friends. RedpoleQ pulled the Jedi mind trick on the doorman who was trying to turn Takuma away for wearing a "loose suit" saying he'd give Takuma his belt. Not sure if he even put it on though. I was under the impression that we would be walking round the club with pen and notebook in hand so that we could detail our sets. But no, it was just non-stop sets as far as I can remember. Memorable moments were re-opening an Asian American girl who couldn't help me with my text message opener and just introducing myself to her mixed 2 set friends. Felt a bit of social pressure but the dude did eventually shake my hand as I just held it out and told him to start enjoying himself. RedpoleQ's "KINO, KINO, KINO" walk bys were also a feature of the night. I found it amazing how he could walk up to me and physically reposition my legs and arms like a real life action man without the targets even asking what was going on. Only one girl, who had lived in Boston, didn't seem to be enjoying RedpoleQ's interventions. HBBoston - "I can understand what you're saying you know." RedpoleQ - "I don't fucking care." I loved how the focus of the night was not on us trying to do anything impossible. Rather for us to open, kino, attract, kino, qualify and kino and kino and kino. Saturday Daytime: Feeling tired but amazed at what I had accomplised the night before. Met at Tully's in/near Roppongi Hills. Headed down to the basement level and ate from Soup Stock. Listened to RedpoleQ tell us about comfort. Most memorable part of that seminar for me was when the girls sitting behind us, seeing RedpoleQ demonstrating kino on me, gave him an approach invitation which he took full advantage of. He moved over to sit right up next to one of the girls and while continuing to talk to us, showed us exactly what he expected us to be doing. And the girl was loving it. Soon after I was sent in to open a 3 set. My target HBcleaner. Actually a trainee dental hygenist, but telling her she was a cleaning lady seemed to spike her BT. Looking back on it I got good compliance from her but didn't realise this so much during the sarge. Started to feel nervous when I found out she was 18. (need to work on my frame that it's perfectly acceptable to sarge 18 year olds, yeah!) Next set was winging for NewLight. My target was the girl RedpoleQ had been doing the kino demo on. She was keen but when she told me she would be working ("at the Starbucks just up there") on the only day I had suggested for a day 2, not living in Tokyo, I didn't suggest another time. After getting pulled out of set RedpoleQ reminded me that setting up fake day 2s just to get the practice is all good. Headed up to the big spider thing. Full Disclosure had managed to bounce a lone wolf to Starbucks. Opened a 4 set, AI'd NewLight who came in to sarge. Then Renaissance and Don brought themselves in to run obstacle game. Definitely could have time bridged my target for later that evening if I had thought of it. I was only thinking of bouncing, and they were on there way to meet some other friends for dinner. Even though I didn't isolate my target, I was, under RedpoleQ's direction beginning to turn her away from the group. Next set was winging for NewLight in a mother, daughter 2 set. Felt really awkward here kinoing a married woman who I really didn't want to be sarging. Although as obstacle game think I suceeded. Not sure if NewLight number closed his target or not. Opened another mother/daughter 2 set with high fives and the mum was loving it. Felt much more comfortable here as the mum must have been in her 50s and she was really trying to bust out some English. Qualified her for being a cool country woman (from Yamanashi) while disqualifing the daughter HBflyer for living in Tokyo. Ejected from this set when HBflyer said she was just saying goodbye to her mum. Should have re-opended her after her mum went off for her train. Hit a sticking point regarding opening as we headed back down the escalator to debrief. RedpoleQ: "Open that girl behind you." Me: turning round "Eh, Eh..." Girl: walks off. RedpoleQ: laughs. This was to be a theme throughout the bootcamp. 2 failed escalator opens and my only refusal to obey orders the whole bootcamp when I wouldn't even attempt to open the third lone wolf that RedpoleQ tried to get me to open on an escalator. I will post an FR when I sucessfully open HBescalator. Debriefed and headed off to Saizeria. Watched RedpoleQ and Don sarging a 2 set on the table next to ours. Don's girl was hot. Cute, genki girl with a great smile. Headed back to my hotel to try and grab an hour's sleep before Ageha. Think I got about 10 minutes and the rest of the time I was lying there contemplating opening. Had been using the text message opener the first night and wanted to do something different. Don had said that he thought my energy was a bit low on Friday. Along with RedpoleQ's instruction to smile more I decided that I would open with a genki "HIGH FIVE!". Saturday night: We got a great attraction story from our expedition to Ageha. Rather than eat at the "sausage restaurant" we went for a second night out at Muse instead. I felt relaxed knowing that RedpoleQ said he was impressed by our Friday night sarging. After a quick toilet mission Don sent me into a 2 set that I didn't even have time to look at before I was in their faces high fiving. Good thing too as my target was a 10. She was my target from the start but I had to be yanked out of set by Don and told to pick a target, lock in properly and escalate the kino. I remember being nervous in this set. Strangely not because my target was a stunning J girl I couldn't have said "hello" to a couple of days earlier. Rather I was watching Kid44 over her shoulder waving his arms about. I wasn't sure if he was signaling to me to become more animated, or was doing an impression of me to indicate I should become less animated, or if he was just doing his own thing. Don came in to run obstacle game and we bounced them over to some U shaped seating. Contined kino escalation and qualification. Played the question game. Didn't timebridge for next week successfully, I believed her excuse that because she's launching her own company she works 12-14 hours a day. Hmmm. Anyway she did comply when I told her to kiss my cheek as I was pulled out of set. Went from HBmoney to winging for NewLight. Progressed the sarge well but I was not interested in my girl. Then RedpoleQ sent me into a 2 set. One of which was talking to a J guy. Opened by asking her to move over so I could sit down. Instant compliance. Locked in. Kino escalation. Failed to timebridge for next weekend (alegedly going to a wedding) but told her to write out her email address for me, which she did although she was reluctant to "sexy gaisen". No response to mail I sent on Monday. After this I remember a few sets that I couldn't hook but Don was great at keeping me up beat and kept pushing me into sets. This was a real eye opener for me. I'm sure great PUAs can hook any set they open. However for me, it really helped how Don seemed to have the attitude - "That set didn't hook, fuck it, let's get another one! Go!" - He didn't say that, but that's what I took from that period together in the club. Towards the end of the night, RedpoleQ told us to try and bounce a set over to Almond. I opened a 2 set, my target HBslender, AI'd NewLight and he was more than happy with his target. We definitely fucked this set up. We were under the impression that we were to bounce them asap. That was what RedpoleQ wanted but we took asap to mean now. So rather than progress the sarge properly we were trying to bounce them from the start. We made some good things happen in this set though. AMOGed some dudes who came over and told us they were with the girls. Asked HBslender if that was right and she said they had just met them. We stayed locked in and these duded faded away. That definitely spiked both our targets' BTs. Escalating kino my hand somehow found it's way to her ass. Her dress was so short that sitting down it literally didn't cover her properly. I should have pushed for the "sexy gaisen" but I wasn't even thinking of time-bridging. All I had in mind was bounce, NOW. Sunday: Was feeling a high level of AA on Sunday. As it was raining, our sarging venue was a Starbucks and surrounding bookshop somewhere within Shinjuku station. Went for a toilet mission. Wandered aimlessly knowing that I should be opening someone, anyone. Good thing RedpoleQ was on my case. Gave me a quick tour of the venue and then pushed me straight into set. Opened a girl in the bookshop by asking her where the English books were. She didn't know so said we should ask the staff. Led her to the counter and she got the info and asked if that was all. For a split second I was about to let her go. But A) I knew I should be progressing the sarge and B) I really got the vibe that she waiting for me to progress the sarge. Bounced her over to where to books were. Then bounced to Starbucks. She had just been for a coffee before I met her. Sat down then within 30 seconds NewLight brought his target over to the same table. My target HBCalifornia and NewLight's target, I'll call her HBkeen seemed to share a moment. My girl spoke great English as she lives in LA but is just back on holiday. RedpoleQ kept coming into ask where I was in the sarge. I really felt that his expectations of us were growing. This made me feel great knowing that he believes in us. Time-bridged and "sexy gaisen" closed. She replied to the mail I sent her late Sunday night. I'm looking forward to a day 2 with her next Sunday. She is in my top 3 out of all the girls I sarged this weekend. Our next set ran away from me and Full Disclosure as we tried to bounce them to show us umbrellas. Opened a few more sets. Busted out my hero story and really felt it's power as my target melted into me. However she left as I wasn't particularly progressing the sarge. Overall I am sure I opened over 50 sets this weekend. Hooking at least 30 of them. As well as getting AI'd into over 20 sets. This weekend has made me believe that I can make my life as good as I want it to be. My perfect lifestyle definitely includes rolling with the Pick up Asia team again. Five things I did well: Opened more sets this weekend than I have in my entire previous life. Opened every set that I was told to (except on escalators). Attracted attractive women.* Kinoed attractive women.* Qualified attractive women.* * and some non-attractive women too! Five things I will improve: Progressing the sarge. Quality of kino, e.g. strong but relaxed as well as putting women's hands on me. Rewarding women well when I qualify them. My routine stack with stories from my life. My energy when sarging. It is enjoyable so will be more genki and less nervous. Five things I realized: Sarging is great fun. Women want to be sarged, well. I can achieve whatever I believe I can. Everyone loves kino. I can bring value to HB's lives. Sunday night wound up with Kid44 treating us to dinner and welcoming us into the community. He told us where we go from here is up to us. I could remember my bootcamp as simply a fun weekend. Or it can be the beginning of a whole new life. I'm going to start living! I have so much respect for RedpoleQ, Kid44, Renaissance and Don for what they did for me this past weekend. It amazes me that we only spent one weekend together but that I feel so close to you. Our approach coaches were such a great combination. Don being full on, pushing me into sets and Renaissance being so good at listening and offering suggestions when I came out of sets. On the way home I missed my last shinkansen so asked a chubby and genki JR station woman how I could get home. A little kino later and she was bouncing me through Shinagawa station to get my ticket and show me what platform to catch my train from. This weekend I slept nearly half as long as I usually do. So I now see that my frame of needing 8 hours sleep a night is just that, a frame. I am in the process of improving frames in all aspects of my life thanks to this bootcamp.
